(di-vo´shen) n. 1. Ardent attachment or loyalty. 2. Religious ardor or zeal: piety. 3. often devotions. An act of religious observance, study or prayer, especially when private. 4. The act of devoting or state of being devoted.
Members of the body of Christ have a personal relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ. That relationship is strengthened and sustained by study, prayer, worship and service. It is deepened through daily reflection on and application of the word of God as well as communication with God through prayer and meditation.
If you desire a closer walk with the Lord, make a commitment to set aside time each day to read, reflect and meditate on God's word.
Each week, Christian Educators and other leaders in the A. M. E. Zion Church will offer a short devotional to help you understand and apply the word of God. No doubt, the weekly devotion will also help you to share the Good News more effectively.
