Leaders Welcome
Helen C. Scott-Carter joined John Wesley African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church (DC) when she was 11 years old. She taught English, Humanities, Egyptology, Ancient and Medieval History and Geography in the District of Columbia Public Schools for more than 34 years, 31 years of which were spent at Langley Junior High School. She was Assistant Principal of Langley Junior High School for six (6) years. She retired from the DC Public Schools in 1991. In 2002 Helen returned to the DC Public Schools as an Instructional Facilitator (mentor) for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year teachers.
